Marxists have always argued that the contradictions of capitalism would eventually lead to its collapse; it’s becoming more and more obvious that the exact opposite is the case. The problem is timing: when we see the need for fundamental change we can’t afford it; when we can afford it, we’d rather buy DVDs and expensive wine. Da capo al fine!
